Project Manager

Project Management at Smart is a mix of project details and relationships. Project Managers lead multidisciplinary project teams that span design, engineering, research, and brand communications. They partner with clients and manage the successful execution and delivery of projects within defined timeframes and budgets. PMs not only guide the project process, they are also an active member of the project team to make sure we’re solving our clients’ business needs with world-class creative solutions.

Engagement Management Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary client interface for strategic and tactical communications on projects.
  • Partner with Creative Directors to assure that our shared client goals are reached and that vision is realized on every project.
  • Understand clients’ key areas of interest, concern and develop comfort and rapport with all client contacts.
  • Create a project atmosphere that promotes high client satisfaction and excitement levels; partner with the Creative Director to maintain those levels over time.
  • Proactively identify upsell and/or cross-sell opportunities and share information with Creative Director and Business Development Partner.

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Consistently plan, execute, and manage profitable projects.
  • Plan work by defining scope, creating project plans, map out resources, and help to develop budgets based on staffing plans
  • Protect the interests of your respective project teams, acknowledge team success, and monitor morale.
  • Manage changes to scope, budget and timeframe with honest, accurate and composed communications.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings with internal and client teams and maintain periodic status reports on project progress and budget usage.

Experience managing complex projects with lots of moving parts and uncertain deadlines; digital experience a plus!

An ability to anticipate problems before they get out of control, and have a bunch of Plan B ideas to fix them
