With deep expertise in creating simple design solutions and integrated digital systems, Heather’s work influences people to make better life choices, like improving their health and saving money.
Director, Interaction Design
Heather firmly believes that technology needs to fit people – not the other way around. With one foot in design and the other in academia, she simultaneously contributes a real-world perspective to consulting and utilizes her teaching experience to push the boundaries of technology.
Heather leads the interaction design practice in Europe, and enhances the service offering and thought leadership company-wide. Her most recent work is a presentation focused on the healthcare industry, where she shares insights on the first months of being diagnosed with a chronic disease and how design can help patients in this critical time. Heather believes that when developing complex digital ecosystems and services the key is to keep people at the forefront of the vision, understanding and addressing their latent needs and desires at every touch point.
Heather has served as academic director at the Academic Director of Interaction Design Institute Ivrea (IDII) and is co-founder of the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design. Heather holds a degree in product design from Newcastle University and a Master’s degree in interaction design from London’s Royal College of Art.
