Tucker is an optimist and a realist. He is constantly searching for those unexpected connections that have the power to change our expectations and enable new ideas that just make sense – for people and business.

 

At Smart Design, Tucker’s deep expertise in research, strategy, and design allow him to uncover relevant opportunities and inspire teams to create compelling consumer experiences. While discovering new methods of solving strategic design challenges, Tucker leads multidisciplinary projects across a diverse range of industries – housewares, consumer electronics, mobile, automobile, beverage, energy, sportswear, & beauty. 

 

Tucker has taught product design at Parsons New School of Design and currently guest lectures innovation classes at NYU Stern and Columbia Business Schools. His work has been featured in Surface Magazine, Fast Company, and BusinessWeek and he regularly speaks at conferences and design events around the country. He holds a Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
