Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our studio full-time in support of driving brand awareness and new leads.

Our ideal candidate has a love for data and creativity and sees ways to deliver breakthrough content to stakeholders across industries. You will manage Google Analytics, a CRM (Pardot), SEO optimization, all in service of telling the story of new products and services. 

Responsibilities:

SEO, Digital Engagement and Email Marketing

  • Collaborate on the development of communications plans, strategies, and budgets
  • Develop and refine online engagements with the Marketing Director to reflect primary and secondary channel focus, recommendations on optimal impact and marketing funnel optimization
  • Collaborate on, and publish website content, thought-leadership, blogs, and news announcements that drive awareness of Smart Design projects and capabilities and promote key press and events
  • Conduct SEO keyword and hashtag research. Collaborate on strategies for ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization that drives website traffic and engagement
  • Collaborate in the management of backend website development (Basic understanding of HTML) to optimize the user journey
  • Develop, manage and execute social media plan, activating each channel with relevant content aligned to an integrated campaigns
  • Ensure social media posts reflect our brand positioning, storytelling style and tone of voice
  • Concept, launch, monitor, and report on Adwords campaigns
  • Manage and maintain Pardot / Salesforce CRM, including scheduling of all emails campaigns, landing pages and forms
  • Manage, maintain, and build CRM list segmentation to gain new learnings that influence lead gen and BD activities
  • Maintain brand look and feel on all marketing communications including emails and newsletters, and related creative executions
  • Track and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly metrics from Google Analytics and other platforms that includes insights, learnings, and recommendations, and tracking of all KPIs from digital activities

Event Marketing Support

  • Support events and event marketing campaigns including Virtual Smart Salons and (Fall 2021) hosted events, client events, and external partner events
  • Create, update and manage event RSVP lists, schedules, materials, content and reports.

Ad hoc duties

  • Assist with research on awards and speaking opportunities, crafting submissions 
  • Assist with printing and production of marketing materials
  • Other projects and marketing tasks as allocated by the Marketing Director

Naturally You’ll Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing and events (internships are ok!)
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing tools to build traffic and lead conversations, such as Google Analytics, etc.
  • Experience managing social media platforms, LinkedIn, twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Sprout Social
  • Experience contributing to email marketing campaigns
  • Resourceful, hands-on attitude and comfort rolling up your sleeves
  • Basic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with positive attitude, ready to jump in to learn and help
