Smart wins 5th award this year for Simprints global health initiative

Smart Design was honored last week as a Gold award winner at the 2017 UX Awards summit for our collaboration with Simprints. The award for ‘Outstanding Healthcare Service Design for Underserved Communities’, marks the fifth award Smart and Simprints have won together this year.
Honoring innovators behind the digital products and services that define our world, the UX Awards showcase human-centered products that solve real customer problems through digital product design and a user-centered design process. This year’s conference was around the theme ‘Future of UX’, bringing together some of the best leaders and innovators thinking about where we’re headed and how to design for the near and distant future.
Smart helped Simprints in developing a meaningful and impactful experience at the frontline of maternal healthcare, empowering the team with design thinking capability and training staff on a wide range of new design research tools and protocols, aiming to close the identification gap of people living in developing countries. Now being implemented globally, Simprints is currently preparing to scale up their solution.
